Founded by Cricket NSW – the largest sporting body in New South Wales – our programs are delivered in partnership with UOW College, owned by the University of Wollongong.

Cricket NSW
Established in 1859, Cricket NSW is the State Sporting Organisation with responsibility to administer, promote and manage cricket throughout New South Wales for men and women. Cricket NSW currently manages seven professional men’s and women’s teams; which includes the NSW Blues and Breakers, the Big Bash League’s Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder; and Major League Cricket’s Washington Freedom.
Cricket NSW is responsible for developing cricket participation for over 490,000 people (ages 5 and up); managing community, academy programs and Premier Cricket competitions; overseeing high performance talent identification and development and professional cricket; ticketing and membership for over 210,000 fans via our 4 BBL teams; and the management of the $70m high performance and administration HQ at Cricket Central in Sydney. Cricket NSW are a not-for-profit organisation and an affiliate of Cricket Australia.

The UOW College offers pathway programs to the University of Wollongong and nationally recognised vocational courses to get you job-ready. Learn in a supportive environment and develop the skills to succeed in further study or to move into the work force.
As a Registered Training Organisation, we offer a diverse range of vocational education and training courses that are industry-relevant and provide practical training to equip students with the skills needed for their chosen professions.
In collaboration with the University of Wollongong, we provide an exceptional education and a supportive and inclusive community where every student can thrive.
Over the last 35 years, UOW College have graduated more than 38,000 students from across Australia and around the world.

Richmond Institute & Richmond Football Club
A key partner of the NSW College of Sport is the Richmond Institute. Established in 2017 in Victoria and with more than 980 graduates, the Institute demonstrates the proven results of collaboration between leading sports organisations and academic institutions. This partnership model is the basis of the NSW College of Sport – offering specialised, high-quality education, exceptional industry connections, and valuable opportunities for students to build strong foundations for their careers or further study.

Through a variety of initiatives and programs, Sydney Thunder strives to grow the game of cricket whilst being a leader in community engagement. With a widely recognised and respected brand, Sydney Thunder firmly believes that sport has a unique opportunity to make real, positive change in society.
